A Technical Training Institute (TTI)in Lugari will now offer agricultural based courses after it was established that the neighbouring Maturu National Polytechnic offers general technical courses.
Dubbed Chevavya TTI, will therefore turn to an agricultural institution will to give more value to the residents of Lugari and the neighbouring constituencies.
According to the Lugari MP Ayub Savula Already Bukura Agricultural College has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the management of Chevaywa TTI on how they will collaborate with the institution.
“Farmers within Lugari will also benefit from free agricultural training and other short courses as Bukura College nurtures the newly established training Institute,” says the MP.
The law maker said he had set aside Kshs 4 million from the National Government Constituency Development Funds kitty to pay fee for the first cohort of students who will join the institute.
