Flower farm hopes for the best as Christmas approaches

Whereas flower sales for the months of May to September were getting better following partial reopening of economies after suffering the wrath of Covid -19 pandemic, the second wave of the virus in the month of October saw the sales dropped, though not as drastic as it was in March, leaving farmers to hope for the beast as Christmas festive nears.

“I am bit relieved that the effect on the second wave of Covid-19 is not as bad as was in March. I hope the situation will not get worse as we go towards Christmas. This is one of our good sales events, especially for white and red colours,” says Andrew Wambua, General Manager at Molo River Roses – one of the three flower farms of Mzurrie Flowers
