The Kenya Flower Council (KFC) has announced the appointment of Catherine Mukoko as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO). Ms. Mukoko brings extensive experience from her leadership roles at the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE).
Her move to Kenya Flower Council aligns with her passion for governance, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy. She aims to enhance the operational efficiency of the Council while advancing its mission to promote the growth and sustainability of Kenya’s floriculture sector.
According to KFC, Ms. Mukoko brings a comprehensive skill set, including strategic leadership, operational excellence, and advocacy expertise. The Council expressed confidence in her ability to position KFC as a global leader in floriculture advocacy, innovation, and sustainability.
Ms. Mukoko holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from Africa Nazarene University. She is also a Certified Professional Trainer, Mediator, and an expert in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and anti-corruption compliance. Her professional background includes significant contributions to advocacy, policy development, and fostering business partnerships.
Her expertise its believed will lead the kenya flower council to greater heights especially in advancing the meeting of SDG goals by 2030 that are crucial for the people, planet and the biodiversity. Policies are crucial in advancing sustainability in the horticulture space because upon implementation, the good results have growers revelling and the industry making more returns hence more revenue for the country.
