Vegetables farmer loses her cabbages to unknown people

Beatrice Kamau is elderly and a sickly widow from Micharage village, Mirangine – Nyandarua County. She pleads for help after unknown people recently raided and destroyed her vegetables farm, the only source of livelihood she had.

“It must have happened at night. I woke up to find my two cabbage nurseries destroyed which made me to lose more than 3,500 cabbages approximated to cost, Ksh 80,000. It was not easy tell who destroyed the vegetables since I have no known enemies. I don’t hold a grudge against anyone in this village and have never embroiled in any land dispute since the parcel of land was subdivided sometime back and every beneficiary given a title deed,” she says.

The incident happened barely a week after another farmer in Nyandarua woke up to find his four cows slashed.
