IFTEX 2019 a sell-out success story

IFTEX has become a leading global event for the Floriculture industry, presenting a diverse range of flowers grown in Kenya. Buyers from all across the world gather in this event every year to purchase the superb quality flowers for which the platform is famous.

The event is becoming a regional flower trade fair for not only Kenyan flower growers, but also for growers from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Ethiopia and other African flower producing countries. It was primarily aimed for flower growers but suppliers to the floriculture industry also perfectly fitted well.

In 2017, vegetable and fruit industries were also incorporated into the show. Special attention will be given to this year’s Growers Quality Competition. “Judges will focus on comparisons between varieties and not between types.

This will allow both growers and buyers to have a much more useful result; for better sourcing and growers for possibly better growing,” the organizers earlier hinted.
