Held annually, the IFTF is a central platform where industry leaders, innovators, and buyers meet to explore trends shaping the floriculture.

The 14th edition of the International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF) officially opened its doors at the Expo Greater Amsterdam, welcoming a global audience to a vibrant showcase of the latest innovations, products, and services in the floriculture industry.

Renowned as the hub of florists it is a great venture that will enable the growth of the global floriculture sector even more as it widens. The amazing moment that is entirely striking this year is the increased number of growers with Uganda participating for the first time.

From November 5 to November 7, 289 exhibitors representing 13 countries converged to display their diverse offerings, reflecting the evolving landscape of flower production and horticultural technology.

Held annually, the IFTF is a central platform where industry leaders, innovators, and buyers meet to explore business opportunities, network, and discuss trends shaping the future of floriculture. The event has grown steadily since its inception, and the 2024 edition features a particularly broad array of exhibitors, ranging from growers and breeders to technology providers and packaging experts.

In addition to the exhibition, attendees have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops, seminars, and presentations led by experts and trendsetters in the sector. Topics include sustainable practices, advancements in greenhouse technology, breeding innovations, and logistics.

Special focus is being placed this year on sustainable production methods and the environmental impact of flower supply chains, reflecting a growing global emphasis on eco-conscious practices in agriculture and trade.

For exhibitors, the IFTF provides a unique chance to debut new varieties and products. Among the highlighted innovations this year are disease-resistant plant varieties, eco-friendly packaging options, and automation solutions that improve efficiency while reducing the carbon footprint.

The IFTF continues to be more than just a trade fair; it’s an industry benchmark that sets the tone for the upcoming year in floriculture. With the industry facing challenges from climate change, supply chain issues, and evolving consumer demands, this year’s event is more relevant than ever.
